Borathor Max PT

Borathor Max PT by Ensystex contains as its active ingredient the borate containing compound disodium octoborate tetrahydrate, commonly referred to as DOT. DOT's key attribute is that it is a water soluble borate that dissolves easily in water. This makes it easy to deliver to wood surfaces. DOT is also highly soluble in certain glycols and combinations of glycols and water.

Borathor Max PT is a supersaturated solution of DOT in a glycol formulation. This borate/glycol combination, when mixed with water, creates a powerful termiticide/insecticide/fungicide spray solution that goes to work as soon as it is applied to wood either by surface treatment or injection. Borathor Max PT coats the wood surfaces to which it is applied with a protective layer of DOT. The DOT in Borathor Max PT also penetrates the wood with its depth of final penetration depending on factors such as wood moisture content and wood density. The glycols are intended to enhance the distance into the wood that the DOT penetrates compared to the depth the DOT would penetrate if it was applied only in solution in water.

Borathor Max PT prevents or eliminates infestations of a wide range of wood destroying pests including the following:

• Subterranean Termites (including Formosans)
• Drywood Termites
• Old House Borers, Longhorn Beetles and Powderpost Beetles
• Carpenter Ants
• Brown Rot (including Dry Rot), White Rot and other wood decay fungi
